About this piece
Woven seating in the French country tradition: a solid frame, and Kubu rattan drawn over it by hand until the shape holds. The open weave keeps the piece light in a room that already carries heavy furniture. It works next to a fireplace, in a reading corner or on a covered terrace, and pairs easily with linen and worn timber.

The frame is solid timber, the weave is done by hand, and no jig is used. Small differences in the pattern between two chairs are the signature of the maker, not a fault.

Rattan is a natural material, so slight variations in colour, thickness and weave are normal.
We ship throughout Belgium, the Netherlands and the rest of Europe, and we can carry the piece into the room. Clean with a soft dry cloth. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from a heat source. Free interior advice and a showroom in Kapellen, by appointment.
