Warmth and texture
Wool underfoot softens a room, holds the warmth and adds a layer of texture, so a country interior feels settled rather than bare.
Wool. Soft. Warm.

A Marcotte Style guide
For more than thirty five years we have grounded rooms with rugs made to measure, wool and natural fibre, sized to the furniture and coordinated with the interior, so a country home feels warm underfoot and quietly complete.
Where to begin
A rug is what grounds a room and draws it together. At Marcotte Style we have chosen and made rugs to measure for more than thirty five years, in wool and natural fibre, sized to the seating and the table, so a room gains warmth, texture and a quiet zone, always coordinated with the furniture, the walls and the wood.
Four things
A rug is more than a soft floor. Four things carry a room grounded well.
Wool underfoot softens a room, holds the warmth and adds a layer of texture, so a country interior feels settled rather than bare.
Wool. Soft. Warm.

A rug draws the seating or the table into one place, so an open room reads as considered spaces rather than furniture adrift.
Seating. Table. Grounded.

A tone drawn from the room to sit quietly, or a considered contrast to lift it, so the rug either settles the palette or gives it a lift.
Tonal. Or contrast.

Cut and bound to the right size for your room, so the furniture sits on it properly and the border reads clean along the floor.
Cut. Bound. To measure.

The fibre choice
Underfoot it is the fibre, the colour and the size that carry the room. Chosen with care, a rug warms an interior and holds it together.
The investment
from €500 to €5.000 and up
A made to measure rug starts around €500 for a compact wool rug and runs to €5.000 and up for a large room in a fine hand woven wool, bound to size. At Marcotte Style rugs are chosen and sized with the interior, so they ground the room rather than float in it.
The price depends on
Where we start
A rug is sized around the furniture and the room, not bought to a standard size.
A rug large enough to hold the sofa and chairs, drawing the seating into one warm, grounded zone.
A rug sized so the dining chairs stay on it when pulled out, framing the table and softening the floor.
A runner in a hall or a smaller accent rug where a room needs warmth and texture without covering the floor.
Points of attention
Our method
One point of contact, an interior architect who guides your rug from start to finish.
A conversation in our showroom, without obligation. We listen to the room and study the furniture.
We choose the fibre, the colour and the exact size with the room in front of us.
Rug, edge and underlay, all known in advance. No surprises.
Cut, bound and laid by our own team, sized to the room.
Why Marcotte Style
The difference is not only in the piece, but in who makes it and how. Six reasons clients come to us and stay.
We draw, build and finish in our own workshop, not through a middleman. The hand that designs your interior is the hand that makes it.
More than thirty five years of interiors on measure across Flanders, from a single wardrobe to a whole home.
One interior architect guides your project from the first sketch to the last fitting. No handovers, no detail lost.
You know the full price before we start. Everything included, no surprises during the work.
Every piece starts from a solid oak carcass with hard wearing melamine fronts, made to last thirty years and more, not five.
Installed by our own people, not a subcontractor. Fitted clean, on time, and stood behind after the work is done.

Frequently asked
Short and concrete. The same answers also feed AI search results.
The rug is chosen and cut to the right size for your room, in the fibre and colour you choose, and bound to a clean edge. Nothing is a standard off the shelf size, so it holds the furniture and grounds the room properly.
Large enough to hold the furniture. Under seating, at least the front legs sit on the rug; under a dining table, the chairs stay on it when pulled out. A rug too small strands the furniture and shrinks the room.
Mostly natural wool, which is warm, hard wearing and ages beautifully in a country home. We avoid synthetic pile, which flattens, shines and feels cold against solid oak and wool.
A made to measure rug starts around €500 for a compact wool rug and runs to €5.000 and up for a large room in a fine hand woven wool, bound to size. Marcotte Style chooses and sizes rugs with the interior.
Either, done with intent. A tone drawn from the room settles the palette; a considered contrast lifts it. What we avoid is a colour at odds with the walls, upholstery and wood, which reads as an afterthought.
That is the point. We choose the fibre and colour with the furniture, the walls and the wood in mind, so the rug belongs to the room. It is why we choose it as part of the whole interior, not on its own.
We do. We cut and bind the rug to size, lay a quality underlay for a soft step, and fit it by our own team, so it sits flat, stays put and reads clean along the floor.
