Residence, Sint-Job / 's-Gravenwezel - Marcotte Style
Residential

Residence, Sint-Job / 's-Gravenwezel

What we did

For this residence between Sint-Job and 's-Gravenwezel, Marcotte Style delivered the interior in one go.

The custom cabinetry, the radiator covers, the dining and living furniture, the lighting, the curtains and the blinds were designed, made and installed by the same house.

The approach

  • Designed in house by our interior architects
  • Photorealistic 3D before production
  • Made to measure in our own atelier
  • Delivered, installed and styled by our own team
  • One point of contact from A to Z

Two crystal chandeliers set the length of the living room, with a long boucle corner sofa and a curved companion piece facing a black fireplace and an oak coffee table. A black glazed display cabinet with a lit oak interior stands against the panelled wall, and slatted radiator covers with oak tops run under the windows. Silk curtains with tassel tiebacks hang in front of white roman blinds, all made to measure in our own atelier and hung by our own team.

Dining room

The oval oak table on a turned pedestal sits directly under a crystal chandelier and a plaster ceiling rose, with buttoned wool chairs drawn up around it. The room stays open to the seating area, so the same silk curtains and roman blinds carry through and the table reads as part of one long room rather than a separate space.

Under the roof slope the storage is charcoal panelled with a solid oak top, opening on painted shelves inside, and a white slatted radiator cover with an oak sill sits below the roof window. Every unit was measured against the slope and drawn up in advance, so the tops stop at the same height all the way along.

The curtains, the blinds and the upholstery stay in a taupe and off white range that keeps the rooms calm under the crystal chandeliers.

Bathroom

Twin basins set into a wooden plank worktop

Twin basins are set into a worktop built from wide timber planks over a bank of drawers, with a dark stone splashback and a mirror carried up into the slope. The vanity was made to measure in our own atelier and fitted around the roof windows so the daylight falls straight onto the mirror.

The whole plan was drawn and worked out in photorealistic 3D before production started, which is why the radiator covers sit exactly under the window sills, the attic cabinetry follows the roof slope over its full length and the glazed cabinet lines up with the opening beside it. Dimensions were settled on paper, not on site.

The photographs show how consistently the materials were held. Warm oak returns on the wide plank floor, the dining table, the attic worktop and the bathroom vanity. Charcoal and black run through the fireplace, the glazed display cabinet, the attic doors and the window frames. The curtains, the blinds and the upholstery stay in a taupe and off white range that keeps the rooms calm under the crystal chandeliers.
