What we did

For this residence in Overijse, Marcotte Style took on the interior as a whole.

The bespoke cabinetry, the tables, the seating, the lighting, the rugs and the window dressing were drawn, made and installed by the same house, so the rooms read as one piece of work rather than a collection of purchases.

Living room

The living room is built around a large grey corner sofa with a rounded chaise end, made to measure in our own atelier and lifted on slim black metal feet. Driftwood lamp bases under black drum shades pick up the warmth of the olive shiplap walls, while a velvet chaise longue keeps its own corner beside the open fireplace and the louvred shutters. The room was designed in house by our own interior architects.

A long limed oak table with a parquet inlaid top stands on a welded black steel base, with velvet chairs piped in a lighter tone drawn up around it. Open cage pendants hang in a cluster overhead, and a black framed glazed screen lets the light from the terrace carry through the room. Every piece was drawn up in advance and rendered in photorealistic 3D before production.

Black steel gives the table bases, the cabinet glazing and the lamp feet a common line, and a soft greige palette runs through the upholstery, the rugs and the shutters.

Kitchen

Sage green framed cabinetry runs around a black range cooker, with glazed upper doors, lighting under the wall units and a deep white sink set beneath the window. A round limed oak table on a black cross base and four buttoned chairs turn the corner by the garden door into somewhere to sit. Delivered, installed and styled by our own team.

Everything was set out in plan and in photorealistic 3D before production began. The dining table, the display cabinet, the console and the kitchen were dimensioned against the real walls and the real ceiling heights, which is why the beams, the timber clad walls and the furniture line up instead of competing.

The material story is easy to follow in the pictures. Limed oak returns on the dining table top, the display cabinet, the console and the kitchen. Black steel gives the table bases, the cabinet glazing and the lamp feet a common line, and a soft greige palette runs through the upholstery, the rugs and the shutters. The driftwood floor lamps and the brass cage pendant were picked to sit inside that same range.

Our own interior architects drew it, our own atelier built the custom work and our own team delivered, installed and styled it, with one point of contact throughout.
