Optician, Heide
What we did
A shop has to sell, and it also has to feel like somewhere you want to sit down.
For this optician in Heide, Marcotte Style built the interior as one continuous piece of joinery and furnishing: the full height display walls with their integrated lighting strips, the low cabinetry along the base, the counter, and the long fitting table that runs almost the length of the room.
The approach
- Designed in house by our interior architects
- Photorealistic 3D before production
- Made to measure in our own atelier
- Delivered, installed and styled by our own team
- One point of contact from A to Z
Images from this project

The shop is worked as one long wall: backlit shelves in slim horizontal bands hold the frames, with a bronze toned fitting table running in front of them and velvet chairs on castors so customers can move along the display. Everything was drawn up in advance and rendered in photorealistic 3D before production, then made to measure in our own atelier and installed by our own team, with the lighting set into each shelf so the frames stay readable against the dark wall.
Velvet tub chairs and high backed chairs sit at working height along the table, and crystal chandeliers hang above it, so the fitting area reads as a dining room rather than a shop counter.
The furniture was made to measure to suit that table and that room, not bought to fit around them. Velvet tub chairs and high backed chairs sit at working height along the table, and crystal chandeliers hang above it, so the fitting area reads as a dining room rather than a shop counter. Everything was drawn up in advance and visualised before production, which is why the table length, the shelf pitch and the seat height line up instead of merely coexisting.
The material story stays in a single register: warm bronze and chocolate tones in the table and the display walls, champagne velvet on the seating, a soft grey rug underfoot and crystal overhead. Against that restraint, the frames on the shelves are the only thing that has to stand out.
